Part of the 2005 Isis crew. Drawn to Oxford by the academic course which, mixed with rowing, gives him a unique opportunity to combine science with his own sport in a “hands-on” way. Went on to win world junior bronze (coxed four) in 2000. Was part of the Harvard University men’s lightweight crew from 2001 – 2004 and won gold in the IRA (US national collegiate champs) in 2003 (lightweight eight).
