Isis oarsman Anthony Mullin said it was ‘devastating’ to be in the losing crew in today’s Reserve Race.

“It’s devastating when you think about how much you’ve put in,” said the 23-year-old rower from Leeds. “But if you’re going to keep rowing, there will always be other days.

“The result obviously wasn’t what I wanted. We started really well and wanted to hold them stroke for stroke.”

Goldie, the Cambridge reserve boat, went on to win their third Reserve Race in a row, beating Isis, the Oxford reserve boat, by four lengths.
